As we approach the April 15th return or extension filing deadline, we would like to highlight two online payment methods applicable to your Federal taxes that you can take advantage of.
IRS Direct Pay
IRS Direct Pay is a free, secure service you may use to remit your individual tax payment directly from your checking or savings account. You will receive instant confirmation that your payment has been submitted. Your bank account information is not retained in IRS systems after payments are made. We recommend initiating payment on or before April 14, 2015. To utilize Direct Pay, visit www.irs.gov/Payments/Direct-Pay.
Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS)
EFTPS is a free, secure service you may use to remit individual tax payments directly from your checking or savings account. It may also be used for payroll and other business taxes. You must already be enrolled in order to use the EFTPS tax payment service. Payments using EFTPS must be scheduled on or before 8 p.m. on April 14th to be considered received timely by the IRS. To utilize EFTPS, visit www.eftps.gov.
If you have any questions about these payment options, please contact your Untracht Early advisor.
