Richard Cagnetta Named Principal

Untracht Early is pleased to announce that Richard Cagnetta has been named as a principal of the firm, effective immediately.  Mr. Cagnetta joined the firm in February of 2014 and is a member of the firm’s Business Entity Tax practice.

Mr. Cagnetta will continue to provide tax advisory and compliance services to the firm’s Alternative Investment industry clientele.  Additionally, he will be involved in firm management and in helping to shape the strategic vision for future firm growth.

He has 22 years of experience and has held senior roles both at Big Four accounting firms and billion dollar hedge funds for which he provided tax planning, structuring, and compliance services.

Mr. Cagnetta received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the State University of New York at Albany as well as both a Master of Science in Taxation and a Master of Business Administration in Professional Accounting from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business Administration.  He is a licensed CPA in New York.

“Our alternative investment clients constitute a substantial portion of the firm’s practice,” said Tracey Early, Managing Principal.   “Rich has proven himself an invaluable asset to delivering outstanding service to these clients.”

“By naming Rich as a principal of the firm,” added Senior Principal, David Untracht, “we hope to give him even greater latitude to work responsively with both our larger industry managers and our smaller start-up clients in offering the signature high level, tax technical guidance for which Untracht Early is known.”
