Tonia M. Simon brings nearly 30 years of experience with her to her role as Senior Manager in the Individual Tax Practice.
Her broad base of specialty knowledge includes: tax planning and preparation, accounting, and consulting for both companies and high net worth individuals. Her experience includes oversight responsibility for business, individual, and trust tax returns; researching complex tax issues; representing clients in front of governmental tax agencies; and engaging in new business development activities. Additionally, she has assisted clients with litigation support and forensic accounting, wealth management, and financial planning.
Internally, Tonia takes the lead on managing and developing staff through mentoring and the presentation of continuing professional education trainings.
Previously, Tonia had served as Principal for the prior public accounting and consulting firms for which she'd worked.
Tonia is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and is licensed as a CPA in the state of New Jersey.
She is the current acting Vice President of the Morris Knolls High School Boys Soccer Booster Club and has previously served as the Treasurer of the Rock Ridge Community Swim program, Vice President of Finance of the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (Morris County Chapter), Sub-Committee Chair for various New Jersey State Society of Certified Public Accountants committees, and as a board member for Preschool Advantage (previously known as Acorn).
Tonia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Rider University and a Master of Science in Taxation from Seton Hall University.
