SENDING TAX RETURNS BY PRIVATE DELIVERY SERVICE
You may now use private delivery services designated by the IRS for proof of timely filing as an alternative to certified mail. The returns can be sent by next day or second day service through Airborne Express, DHL Worldwide Express, Federal Express and Untied Parcel Service (ground service not valid). These are presently the only IRS approved delivery services.
