Untracht Early Recognized by INSIDE Public Accounting as a Top Firm for Fourth Consecutive Year

Untracht Early has been recognized by INSIDE Public Accounting (IPA) as a Top 200 Firm for the fourth consecutive year.

The IPA 200 list is one of the industry’s most comprehensive and largest “by-revenue” ranking lists of public accounting firms in the U.S. The IPA 200 firms range in size from $14 million to $31 million. Rankings are compiled by analyzing more than 540 responses to IPA’s Survey and Analysis of Firms. While, on average, IPA 200 firms have been in business for 50 years, Untracht Early, which celebrated its 20th anniversary year in 2013, has been able to earn and retain its place on this list earlier in its history.

Year-long Charity Project Comes to a Close

Year-long Charity Project Comes to a Close

As part of Untracht Early’s 20th anniversary year celebration, we created a firm-wide, year-long initiative called Project 20/20:  Tying Our Vision to the Community.  Through this project, the firm and its employees helped to redefine what it means for an organization to demonstrate social responsibility and give back to its community.

Over the course of the year, each of our 100+ employees was given work-week time to donate to one or more of four charities our clients were involved with and passionate about and three charities chosen by the staff.

Together, we donated 420 hours of valuable service to the charities we served.  Highlights included the following:

  • The Florida office kicked things off with Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida where they helped to sort food at the distribution center in July of 2013.
  • We went as a team, that August, to work with underprivileged youth in the five New York City boroughs through the After-School All-Stars Camp program.  There we were assigned to work with 7-13 year olds, assisting the teacher-counselors who worked with the children on vocabulary, reading comprehension, math, and athletics.
  • A quarter of the firm turned out for Family Promise of Morris County Fall Facelift Day in October of 2013. There we spent a full day cleaning up their grounds, painting, and helping create packages for an upcoming fundraiser for this organization that helps families who are homeless and temporarily displaced.
  • In November, our incoming “class of new hires” dug in and got involved with gardening to make room for new plant growth to thrive at Reeves-Reed Arboretum in Summit, NJ.
  • During the holidays, we gathered enough toys for the Child’s Life Toy Drive to make a real difference for children who had to spend the holidays at St. Barnabas Hospital.
  • Throughout the year, many employees participated in training and followed it up with individual service to care for the animals at the Mount Pleasant Animal Shelter.
  • We completed the project in April 2014, as many of our employees donated clothes for our Suit Drive, sorted clothes on “Fashion Fridays”, and did prep work and night-of volunteerism for Dress for Success of Morris County’s Annual Live/Silent Auction Gala.

Project 20/20 inspired a spirit of volunteerism across the firm and, while the project itself has concluded, our participation with these organizations continues.
